Mode of Action | In insects, chlorantraniliprole stimulates ryanodine receptors. As a result of this activation, calcium is released from the smooth and striated muscle's internal reserves, impairing muscular control, paralysis, and ultimately insect death. Insect ryanodine receptors are strongly preferred by chlorantraniliprole over mammalian receptors. The sodium channel modulators known as pyrethroids disturb the neurological systems of insects. The pests become immobile and die after contact. While feeding stops immediately, death can take up to four days. During this time, the host plant is not affected. |
