Mode of Action Mesotrione inhibits HPPD enzyme. It is absorbed through the foliage and the root with both acropetal and basipetal translocation.
Atrazine is a selective systemic herbicide which absorbed mostly through the roots, but it is also taken up by the foliage, moving acropetally through the xylem and accumulating in the apical meristems and leaves.
